In this scene, a good example of excellent cinematography is shown. It even says in the footnotes onscreen that this was just something thrown on to set to see how it would work for the scene.
The angle used was coming from a low area about probably two feet from the ground to resemble the point of view for a baby, and in this scene it switches back and forth between the mother, Clara, and her children. This adds even more drama to this scene and has a feel to raise the stakes better than just one camera angle capturing the whole room. In this you can feel the pressure the mother is feeling to keep the child from interrupting her game, also while feeling the comic disruption that the child’s point of view brings.
